Role Before Joining MRED+D: Project Manager, CBRE
Caroline Blair joins the Berkeley MRED+D program with over six years of design and construction management experience. A Virginia native, Caroline graduated from the University of Virginia in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a minor in Engineering Business. She then joined a San Francisco-based general contractor, Build Group, as a project engineer for ground-up, high-rise residential projects. In 2017, Caroline moved to CBRE as a project manager for commercial real estate. At CBRE, Caroline managed the planning, design, and construction of office space in iconic San Francisco buildings like Salesforce Tower for global clients and developed a passion for thoughtfully designed and sustainable spaces that facilitate engagement with and interaction among their occupants.
By gaining skills in real estate finance, entitlements, place-making, and disposition through the MRED+D program, Caroline plans to build upon her engineering and construction knowledge to transition into development. She hopes to pivot into an entrepreneurial role working on urban, design-forward projects that shape and grow with their communities.
In her free time, Caroline enjoys trail running, recipe-developing and picnicking in SF’s parks with friends. She is also an active member of Rebuilding Together San Francisco, an organization focusing on providing home improvements and renovations to neighbors in underrepresented communities throughout the City.
