Role Before Joining MRED+D: Project Manager, NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD)
Prior to joining UC Berkeley’s MRED+D program, Brice was a project manager at New York City’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), where he specialized in financing the construction and rehabilitation of affordable housing. During his time at HPD, Brice has utilized Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, tax-exempt bonds, Section 8 Project Based Vouchers, and a variety of real estate tax exemptions to finance the preservation of affordable housing in New York City. Brice also has experience working as an associate for Polaris Pacific, a brokerage and consultancy focused on high density new construction development in the urban markets of the West Coast.
Brice is originally from San Francisco and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of San Diego, where he majored in International Business with a minor in Accounting. He is interested in affordable housing and is excited to deepen his real estate development knowledge through the MRED+D program.
Brice likes to cook and enjoys hosting friends for dinner. (But friends are expected to bring dessert or wine… fair warning.)
