- Research Interests/Specializations
I work on rivers. I, particularly, study the sediment connectivity in river networks at the watershed scale. Then my studies involve accounting for sediment yields from upstream areas of water infrastructure, strategic allocation of water infrastructure, and reservoir sediment management. I conceptualize these applied research topics in the analysis of trade-offs between exploitation of hydropower potential and conservation of natural resources. I am currently working in the Amazon Basin. The need to find sustainable energy supply solutions has also led me to undertake on the research field of renewable energy planning at the regional scale.
