- At the mouth of the Hai He River into the Hulf of Bohai. The city is also near the confluence with the Ziya, Daqing, and Yongding rivers as well as the northern terminus of the Grand Canal of China. Population 7,040,000 (UN 2005) and 7,884,000 (UN 2010).
